Restore Volume & Smooth Lines With Dermal Fillers in Kent

At The Laser & Aesthetic Clinic

Enhance Your Features With Expert Dermal Fillers

As we age, the face naturally loses volume, elasticity, and definition — leading to deeper lines, flattened features, and a tired appearance. Dermal fillers offer a safe, non-surgical way to restore that lost volume, smooth wrinkles, and subtly enhance your natural features — with results that look refreshed, never overdone.

At The Laser & Aesthetic Clinic in Gravesend, Kent, all dermal filler treatments are performed exclusively by Dr Patel, an experienced aesthetic doctor with over 25 years at the clinic. Every treatment is tailored to your individual concerns and facial anatomy to achieve the most natural-looking result possible.

What Are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are injectable treatments made from hyaluronic acid (HA) — a substance naturally found in the skin that gives it its fullness, bounce, and youthful appearance. As we get older, our natural hyaluronic acid levels decline, contributing to lines, hollows, and loss of contour.

By replenishing this with a precisely injected filler, Dr Patel can restore volume, smooth deep lines, and sculpt the face in ways that work with your natural structure. The results are immediate, with minimal downtime.

We use premium, clinically proven products including Teosyal, Aliaxin, Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, and Viscoderm, selected based on the treatment area and your individual needs.

Treatment Areas — What Can Dermal Fillers Treat?

Lip Fillers — Fuller, Defined Lips

Fuller lips have long been associated with youth and vitality. From your late 20s onwards, the lips can begin to thin, lose definition, and develop a downturned or flattened appearance. Whether you want a subtle enhancement or a more noticeable increase in volume, Dr Patel tailors every lip treatment to your desired outcome.

We offer lip filler from 0.5ml (for subtle definition) to 1ml (for fuller volume), as well as the Lip Flip technique using Botox to enhance the appearance of the upper lip without additional filler.

Cheek Enhancement & Cheek Dent Correction

Loss of volume in the mid-face can cause the cheeks to appear flat or hollow, ageing the face significantly. Filler placed in the cheeks can restore youthful projection and lift the lower face as a result — all without surgery.

Nasolabial Folds (Nose-to-Mouth Lines)

These are the lines that run from the sides of the nose down to the corners of the mouth. They deepen with age and can give a tired or stern appearance. Targeted filler softens these creases for a fresher, more relaxed look.

Marionette Lines

The downward lines from the corners of the mouth towards the chin can create a “sad” or aged appearance. Filler in this area lifts the corners and restores a more neutral, youthful expression.

Tear Trough (Under-Eye Hollows)

Dark hollows under the eyes are one of the most ageing features of the face and notoriously difficult to address with skincare alone. Tear trough filler carefully restores volume beneath the eyes, reducing the shadowed appearance for a well-rested, brighter look.

Jawline Reshaping & Definition

Filler along the jawline can sharpen and define the jaw, improve symmetry, and create a more structured facial profile — popular with both men and women.

7 Point Facelift

This advanced technique uses filler across seven key points of the face to create a comprehensive lifting and rejuvenating effect — addressing multiple areas in a single session for a natural full-face refresh.

Fine Lines — Viscoderm

For superficial fine lines that don’t respond well to standard filler, Viscoderm is a specialist injectable treatment that hydrates and smooths the skin from within, targeting delicate areas such as the upper lip and around the mouth.

Hyalase — Filler Dissolving

If you have existing filler from a previous treatment elsewhere that you are unhappy with, or wish to reverse, we offer Hyalase — a dissolving agent that safely breaks down hyaluronic acid filler.

Am I A Suitable Candidate?

Dermal fillers are most effective for static wrinkles — lines that are visible at rest, rather than those caused by muscle movement. If your lines appear when you animate your face (such as frowning or smiling), Botox may be a more appropriate treatment — or a combination of both may give the best result. Dr Patel will discuss this with you at your consultation.

Dermal fillers are not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you have active infection, certain muscle or blood disorders in the treatment area. If you are unsure, please contact the clinic for advice ahead of booking.

What to Expect

  1. Consultation — Dr Patel will assess your areas of concern, discuss your goals, and recommend the most appropriate product and technique for your anatomy.
  2. Treatment — A series of precise, fine injections — or cannula where appropriate — delivered in around 30 minutes. A cannula technique is often used for lip treatments and volumising to minimise bruising.
  3. Immediate Results — Results are visible straight away, with any initial swelling or redness settling within a few days.
  4. Full Results — After 2 weeks, any residual swelling will have resolved and you will see the final outcome.
  5. Longevity — Results typically last 6–12 months. With repeat treatments, longevity often improves over time.

Aftercare Advice

  • Avoid touching or applying pressure to treated areas for 24 hours
  • Avoid intense exercise, heat (saunas, sunbeds), and alcohol for 24 hours
  • Sleep on your back if possible for the first night to avoid displacing filler
  • Avoid facials, chemical peels, or laser treatments for at least 2 weeks
  • Contact the clinic immediately if you experience any unusual pain, discolouration, or vision changes after treatment

Questions & Answers

What does the treatment involve?

This treatment involves a series of very fine injections into the required area. Sometimes a cannula is used for volumising and also for treatments to the lip area to reduce the risk of bruising.

What areas can be treated?

It is mainly used to treat the naso-labial folds (the creases running from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth), lip lines, very deep frown lines and lip contouring and enhancement. It can also be used for cheek enhancement. The newer trend is for global facial enhancement.

How many sessions will I need?

It usually lasts from 6-8 months but once the patient has had a few treatments, the longevity is greater. Each treatment should be at 6-8 monthly intervals.

Am I a suitable candidate?

If you have static wrinkles ( lines that appear at rest which do not usually improve with Botulinum Toxin) you are suitable for treatment using dermal fillers however,  if you have dynamic wrinkles which are lines that appear when you animate your face Botox may be a better option. The main Contra-indication of this treatment is pregnancy and breastfeeding, however, you may also be an unsuitable candidate if you have any infections in the treatment area, various muscle or blood disorders. If you are not sure if you are a suitable candidate please contacts the clinic for further advice.

What results can I expect?

Typically results should be seen immediately after injections with Restylane. After 2 weeks all the potential swelling and or bruising should be gone, with the end results.

Are there any side effects?

Potential side effects include pain at the injection site, infection, inflammation, swelling, redness, bleeding and bruising. Rarely you can get a delayed reaction with formation of a lump in the treated area what can be dealt with easily.
