Am I a suitable candidate for this treatment?
Yes, the Hydro2Facial suits most people and most skin types. As long as you are over 18 and have no medical contraindications, the treatment can be tailored to you, because it combines several technologies that we adjust to your skin type and concerns.
We start with a consultation and skin assessment to check it is right for you. It may not be suitable, or may need adjusting, if you have an active skin infection or cold sore in the area, a flare-up of a condition such as rosacea, eczema or psoriasis, sunburned or broken skin, or a known allergy to ingredients such as glycolic or salicylic acid. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, let us know, as some of the active ingredients are best avoided and we may adapt or postpone the treatment. If you are unsure, contact the clinic and we will happily advise.
How do I know what facial is best suited to me?
Your therapist will guide you. During your consultation, they assess your skin and talk through your concerns, then recommend which facial and which combination of technologies will help you most. Because the Hydro2Facial is fully customisable, no two treatments are exactly the same.
Whether your main concern is hydration, congestion and blackheads, dullness, uneven tone, early signs of ageing or sensitivity, the treatment is built from the steps that target it, from deep cleansing and exfoliation through to hydration, brightening and skin-tightening technologies.
What will I feel during the treatment?
During this treatment you will experience varying sensations depending on the technologies that are used by your therapist. However, the overall feeling is very relaxing, cooling and completely pain free. Our skin lifting technology may trigger slight twitching due to the muscle contractions caused by the treatment, but this is normal and does not cause any discomfort.
How will my skin react to the treatment?
Most people find the Hydro2Facial gentle and relaxing, with no real downtime, and leave with skin that looks brighter, cleaner and more hydrated straight away. Any reaction is usually minimal. You may notice some mild redness, known as erythema, afterwards, which is calmed by the cool cryo step used at the end of every treatment.
Because there are no needles and no harsh abrasion, most people head straight back to their day and can wear makeup soon after, though giving your skin a short breather where you can is ideal. Occasionally, skin may feel a little sensitive or look slightly flushed for a few hours as it settles.
What results can I expect?
The results from this treatment will vary depending on which facial you choose. However, all of these facials result in a smooth, hydrated and glowing appearance. Our anti-ageing facials will also display a tightened finish to the skin while our congestion facial will help with skin texture and bacteria.
How many Hydro2Facial treatments are recommended?
We recommend a course of 4-6 sessions at 4-6 week intervals. Results will continue to improve throughout the duration of the course. Maintenance treatments may be recommended by your 3D-Hydro2facial specialist to ensure long-lasting results.
