Dermaroller

The dermaroller is a very new devise introduced to the UK.  It uses the highest quality magnetic microsurgical needles that are carefully embedded on a roller that looks very much like a cotton reel.  The process involves “rollering” the whole skin leaving tiny microsurgical columns in the area after applying a topical cream on the treating area for approximate 40 mins.  This leads to a healing response in the skin with the release of growth factors and chemical mediators.  This results in the formation of collagen and elastin with improved blood circulation to the skin as well.  Following the treatment the skin looks red similar to a sunburn. Active ingredients are applied to the skin after the treatment followed by a sun protection cream. It is excellent for skin rejuvenation, treating acne scars, atrophic scars, and stretch marks.  It also helps skin tightening.  A course of two to five treatments are usually required depending on the condition being treated.  For most conditions, two or three treatments are usually required but for any scarring or skin tightening three or five treatments are required with an interval of six weeks between treatments.  The cost per treatment is £300 this includes a moisturising cream and a sun protection.
