TCA & other Peels
Skin peels address fine lines and
wrinkles, large pores and skin tone. The depth and type
of peel used is determined by the problem to be addressed
and the severity of the skin laxity. Pigmentation alone
is best addressed by an
Amelan peel and a laser can sometimes be used for photorejuvenation
of the skin.
Chemical skin peel involves appliation
of organicaly derived acid to the skin. The acid reacts
whitht he top layers of the skin which subsequently
sheds off the exposing the fresh skin new skin underneath.
A deep peel also encourages the frmation of collagen
and hence irradicates fne lines and wrinkles. A more
superfical peel helps mainly sun damanged pigmentation.
The application of the skin peel has to be carefully
monitored so as not to damage the deeper layes of the
skin from the where the regeneration of the new skin
begins.
